King of Pop

I am unnecessarily devastated by this death.

I know I'm a couple years behind the right age, but I seriously grew up with Michael Jackson's music in my life and I am really sad that he is no longer with us.

I'm not sure what pains me more, the fact that Michael Jackson is no longer alive, or the fact that my students (and my future children) are so young that they will never understand the glory, magic, and wonder that was MJ.

I'm going to make a promise to Michael Jackson, today, that whenever I have children, I will make sure to tell (and show) them how wonderful Michael Jackson's music (and style of entertaining) truly was.

Parting is such sweet sorrow,

JLF - a forever fan of MJ

Decision (Finally) Made

Hello World!

Last night, as I was going through my journal to figure out what my so-called anniversary with current love, JPK, is I realized the solace that writing has brought me in the past. Therefore, I have decided to join my BESTIES, JAM and FAW-P, and create a blog of my rants, raves, and thoughts on life, travel, philosophy, education, food, and love (among other various topics that happen to fall into my ever-so-full-and-busy-lap).

I'll keep you updated at least once a week (that is my current goal), but be prepared to be bombarded with the following topics:
- Young Pregnancy and the Lack of Modesty
- Ryan Seacrest
- Over-Achieving Students and Parents that Make Them So

And, of course, much, much more.

Stay tuned (I mean, as if you would leave now that I have grabbed you with those gripping topics).

Parting is such sweet sorrow,
JLF *maybe JLK soon....but let's not count our chickens before they hatch.*
